Some Randomness

Emma and I hung out and tried to make the most of the dreary,cloudy and somewhat cool weather yesterday. Well cool for the beginning of September anyway! We went out in the yard to play (and of course take some pictures..lol ).

I went out with the girls last night too. I went to my first passion party which was a total blast and afterwards me the girls headed to dinner for some good chat (I'm sure you can guess what the talk was about) and great food for a few hours,I didn't get home until 1am but I wouldn't trade the company and conversation for anything,it's worth losing a little sleep over! Plus the kids need a little one on one time with daddy right? I hadn't gotten out a whole lot by myself since Emma was born but now that she's at the toddler stage it's much easier and it helps she sleeps all night long so I don't have to worry about getting up after I get home!

We have a fun evening planned IF the rain stops . The Huff 'n' Puff is in town which consists of displaying hot air balloons. They light them up or "illuminate" them this evening. A friend wants to meet us there but I'm afraid if the cruddy,rainy weather continues we won't be going..imagine the wonderful pictures I could get of that?! Keeping my fingers crossed!

this one isn't focused the best but I loved the composition so I kept it..it was a very quick snap so didn't have the most time on getting it focused,those little feet move fast!




And of course we can't forget about Baxter,he was the most fun of all!

I was bummed her face wasn't focused real well but again it was a real quick picture and I was almost too close but it turned out cute,I love the expression on her face!


Last but not least..baxter ole boy and with the ball he destroyed.LOL

I have to say this camera is extremely fun,it's makes picture taking addictive,like I already didn't take enough pics now I'm constantly snapping them..it's a sickness but it's so fun!

Miss Piggy

Breakfast this morning consisted of Quaker Minis,Emma seemed to like them,she shoveled them in like I was going to steal them! I've been trying to practice with my 55-200 zoom I got yesterday and I captured a few good ones..but than again I'm partial ;)

I went outside and practiced with it but those pictures are yet to come,can't wait to see how they turned out,it was perfect overcast day so hopefully they are as good as I hope!

Here she is later on in her bedroom looking at books..I'm loving this capture even without the smile. To me the eyes are more important anyway :)

Rub a dub dub...

I have to say my 50mm 1.8 lens is by far my favorite,it's so crisp and clear and we all know there is nothing cuter than baby bath moments!

Thankfully this girl LOVES the water,she could spend all evening in the tub and anytime we are near a body of water,she's running for it :)




her rubber ducky that my son handed to her in bath and body works one day,of course she would scream anytime we took it away from her so it came home with us,good thing it was 50% off !

My other baby ..

My first born..Tanner :) He's grown up so quickly and before long he'll be 10,it amazes me! He's such a sweetie and the best big brother any little girl could ask for..love you little man!!

Sweet baby blues..

Emma has got to have some the bluest eyes ever and my new camera is capturing them beautifully! We are always getting comments on her eyes everywhere we go. I'm crossing my fingers she keeps them! It's like looking into an ocean of blue everytime you look at her.. :)

Don't you just love baby lashes? Nothing like a photo to capture them perfectly...makes me smile :)

I'm now a blogger!

I've joined the world of blogging..I see all these wonderful blogs full of life and pictures and little moments and decided it was time I made one too. I think it will be a wonderful way to capture those moments in all our lives that are easily forgotten or little things our kids did that we always vow to "write that down!" but never do. Now I just need to be held accountable for keeping this up to date!

I recently got a new Nikon D80 camera along with the 50mm 1.8 lens and I'm loving it! Today was a cloudy,horrible day so it was perfect for staying in and taking a few snapshots of my 1yr old..I only had a second or two each time,that childn't can't sit still I swear!

Anyway hopefully as my blog continues my pictures improve,I'm learning a little more everyday. I got a wonderful book on learning exposure too,thats been a godsend!
